Issues
I am running for Ward 4 because I care about Lakewood. This city has opportunities that will help make our community stronger, more vibrant and more prosperous. With guidance those opportunities will benefit everyone, but if we fight those opportunities they will either fade away or become problems.

Affordable Housing
As a member of the planning commission I have advocated for positive changes to increase development of more affordable housing in our community, especially increasing ownership opportunities. I am active in the AIA engaging in efforts to improve the constructive defects laws in ways that protect people while encouraging more ownership opportunities in affordable housing. This is critical to maintain a community where all who are part of our community can afford to live here as well.

Vibrant Economy
Advocating and supporting efforts to maintain and grow our small business community is the backbone of our economy and creates a diverse vibrant community. By addressing our housing issues and maintaining our quality of life we will be better able to maintain the large companies that are located here and attract those that want to become part of our community. Our community's vibrancy and resilience relies on a strong local economy and strong businesses actively engaged in our city.

Public Safety
I will work to promote public safety that serves all in our community. From addressing the issues of homelessness while respecting the dignity of every person. To the improving and maintaining our aging infrastructure. To evidence based policy making that aims to address the root causes of safety concerns rather than only treating the symptoms.
